"Paciugo Gelato & Caffè was founded in 2000 by Ugo, Cristiana and Vincenzo Ginatta. Inspired by their passion for authentic gelato the Italian family moved to Dallas, Texas to start a gelateria. The word ‘gelato’ in Italian means ‘ice cream’. Paciugo offers more than 30 flavors, handcrafted every morning at each neighborhood location using traditional ingredients and whole milk only, making it 70% less fat than premium ice cream. Cristiana has developed more than 300 recipes, from Mediterranean Sea Salt Caramel and Tiramisù to more unusual flavors like Banana Beet sorbet and Black Pepper Olive Oil. The menu includes all-natural, Fair Trade, 100% Arabica coffee and espresso-based drinks, as well as Gelato-based specialty desserts and blended beverages. Paciugo has 44 franchise locations across the United States and Mexico. Paciugo was voted in the Franchise Times “2010 Fast 55”, celebrated as “One of the Fastest Growing Private Companies in America” by Inc. Magazine, recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine with the “2010 Top Restaurant Franchise Award” and by Dun & Bradstreet All Business with the “All-Star Franchise”. Paciugo has been featured twice on Food Network and has received many more accolades from national and local media across the United States."
